Contractors working on the NC Department of Transportation road widening/waterline relocation project on Piney Green Road will start using the new Piney Green Booster Pump Station which may temporarily cause customers in the Piney Green area to experience occasional discoloration in the water with possible temporary drops in water pressure through Friday, March 29th. Even though the water is safe and in no way harmful, discolored water should not be used for laundry or cooking. If discoloration should occur, ONWASA suggests customers run cold water through a bathtub faucet for approximately 8 to 10 minutes until the water runs clear. If the water does not clear up, customers are asked to contact ONWASA at 455-0722.
