ONWASA will be preparing 2 leaks on Thursday night, May 5th, and residents will experience an outage beginning at 11pm on Thursday and lasting until 6am on Friday, May 6th.
This will be followed by a precautionary boil water advisory. Residents who live on E. Hargett between S. Wilmington Street and S. Onslow should boil water used for human consumption or food preparation for a minimum of one minute. There is no need to boil water used for bathing or washing hands.
This advisory is due to water being shut off in this area to isolate and repair a leak.
There is a minimum of 24 hours until lab testing confirms the system is operating normally.
