ONWASA CHANGES TO PROVIDE SAFER CUSTOMER SERVICE OPTIONS

As a critical utility supplying drinking water to nearly 150,000 people, ONWASA is taking every step to protect the health of our public.

That includes maintaining employee health so that we can continue to operate the water system without interruption. Considering the various states of emergency that are currently declared and to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus, ONWASA has temporarily closed the customer service lobby at our main office in Jacksonville. Only the lobby area is closed. ONWASA employees are still at work producing over 3 billion gallons of drinking water per year for our community. Our drinking water supply continues to be safe and we do not anticipate any service interruptions.

We know that our customers still need service and have created the following ways to help while protecting the help of customers and utility workers.

We have a drive-thru that will remain open 8-5, M-F. The drive-thru can accept all forms of payments. The drive-thru is located at 228 Georgetown Road, Jacksonville.

ONWASA has worked with our utility partner JOEMC to expand payment kiosk options. Using your account number, customers can make free payments at four automated kiosk locations around Onslow County. They are located at:
• Jones Onslow EMC Kiosk at 259 Western Blvd, Jacksonville
• Jones Onslow EMC Kiosk at 1225 NC Hwy 210, Sneads Ferry
• Handy Mart Convenience Store at 701 W Corbett, Swansboro
• Handy Mart Convenience Store at 5506 Richlands Hwy, Jacksonville

The Development Services Department serves commercial and residential developers in the area. If a customer needs to drop-off or pick-up plans or meet with Development Services, please call 910-455-0722 for assistance. Development Services will set up special appointments and continue to conduct plan review and inspections.
