The GIS Division maintains a complete, accurate, and connected geospatial data model of ONWASA Water and Sewer systems.

The Geographic Information System (GIS) Division is responsible for capturing, storing, analyzing, and managing the water and wastewater data and associated attributes which are spatially referenced to ONWASA Utilities. GIS is a tool that allows users to create interactive queries (user created searches), analyze the information, edit data, maps, and present the results of all these operations.

The GIS Division is tasked with entering this data into the system for future reference and investigation.

Mission Statement

The mission of the ONWASA GIS Department is to maintain accurate and comprehensive geospatial data to support the operations of ONWASA and its stakeholders. The ONWASA GIS department utilizes GIS technology through a water and sewer data model, geodatabase, and geometric network. The GIS system provides information on the condition and status of the Authority's assets to assist ONWASA management in decision making for future expansion and system improvements.

Achieving improved workflow through technology.
